PRINCIPAL OWNER

Bruce C. Ratner is in his fifth season as the principal owner of the Nets. In August, 2004, Mr. Ratner and a group of private investors completed the purchase of the team.

Firmly committed to making the Nets a successful organization on and off the court, Mr. Ratner strives to build on the existing base of loyal fans and to increase the number of new fans by providing a winning team, an exciting in-game entertainment experience and more affordable tickets.

Mr. Ratner is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC), an urban real estate developer in the New York metropolitan area, based in Brooklyn.

He currently serves on a number of boards including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Weill Cornell Medical College, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, among others.
