Bring your non-profit organization out to a Pistons game
Player Ticket Sections

The Detroit Pistons are committed to bringing disadvantaged youth from across the state of Michigan to The Palace of Auburn Hills to experience the magic of a Pistons game night.

For the 2008-09 regular season, the Pistons players have teamed up to donate more than 140 tickets to nonprofit, youth-oriented groups to each of their 41 home games. By season’s end, the players will have donated more than 6,700 tickets serving more than 200 nonprofit groups. This ranks the Pistons among the most active player ticket donation programs in the NBA.

“We have a lot of tickets to work with courtesy of the players and their generosity,” said Dennis Sampier, director of community relations for the Pistons. “It’s great to see the players’ enthusiasm for this program, which provides a fun night to kids who could really use it.”

If you would like your nonprofit group to be considered for a player ticket section, please fax your request on organizational letterhead to 248.377.0309 or mail it to:

Only nonprofit youth-oriented groups holding 501c(3) tax-exempt status within the state of Michigan will be considered for participation in a player ticket section. The Pistons will add eligible groups to a database and contact organizations for participation. Not all groups who make a request will necessarily be able to participate due to availability.

The Pistons also offer additional ticket donation programs for nonprofit groups. Please click here for more information.

Amir Johnson has brought back his popular ticket section for 2008-09 under a new name. AJ’s Zone will offer 20 tickets and 20 AJ’s Zone T-shirts to each Pistons home game.

Arron Afflalo has teamed up with the YMCA of Michigan for the 2008-09 season. The Pistons’ No. 28 is providing 28 tickets to YMCAs and partnering schools in Michigan for five games, and then hosting a YMCA Night on April 5 against the Charlotte Bobcats that will bring 360 kids to The Palace.

The Detroit Pistons coaching staff, along with the NBA Coaches Association, has started a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The coaches have donated 1,000 tickets that will allow Boys & Girls clubs in Michigan to bring 100 kids to 10 Pistons home games.

NBA fans have enjoyed how fast Allen Iverson is on the court. But he doesn’t hesitate off the court, either, agreeing to donate 25 tickets and T-shirts to every home game as soon as he joined the Pistons. Learn more about what Allen is doing in the community at www.crossover-promotions.com.

Kwame Brown is making an impact in his first season in Detroit by donating 15 tickets (in the lower level!) to every Pistons home game, in addition to Kwame’s Kids T-shirts for all participants.

Mini-Max is back and bigger than ever thanks to forward Jason Maxiell. The Pistons forward has donated 20 tickets and 20 Mini-Max T-shirts to each Pistons home game.

After co-sponsoring a ticket section with fellow rookie Arron Afflalo in 2007-08, Rodney Stuckey has founded Stuckeyville all by himself. The section includes 15 tickets to every Pistons home game and Stuckeyville T-shirts for all participants.

One of the most unique ticket programs in pro sports, Tayshaun Prince and his wife, Farah, purchased a suite to open the 2007-08 season. The one-of-a-kind suite offers Pistons and Prince décor and is reserved for Kids Kicking Cancer, a support group for the families of juvenile cancer patients.
