Five Things to Know About The Spare Tires:
- Spare tires is a group of 15 larger than life men between the ages of 20 and 53 who aren't ashamed to shake what they've got. Currently in their third season, the group has been entertaining Pistons with their breath-taking moves during halftime.
- Spare Tires members have a wide variety of nicknames, some of which are "Big Daddy," "Tiny," "Tuna Can," "Hollywood," and "Heavy C".
- They are directed by Automotion's Director, Rebecca Girard, and Automotion even stepped in to show the Spare Tires candidates a few moves during their auditions.
- Spare Tires is actively involved in the Detroit community. This past Thanksgiving, they handed out Thanksgiving dinners at Rip Hamilton's "Thanksgiving Celebration," though several turkeys turned up missing.
- Spare Tires has only three more performances on tap for the season. To catch their HUGE moves, check them out on March 28th (vs. Dallas), April 4th (vs. New Orleans/Oklahoma City) and/or April 12th (Cleveland).
