Upcoming Games:

Tuesday vs. Houston: The Sixers return home after a season long six-game road trip to face the Rockets… Philly won both games vs. Houston last season, marking its first season series sweep of the Rockets since 1988-89… Andre Miller averaged series-highs of 21.5 points and 9.0 assists vs. Houston last season while shooting 55.2% from the floor.

Wednesday at Milwaukee: Philly has won four of the past five meetings vs. Milwaukee, including a 93-88 win on 12/17… the Sixers bench outscored the starters 49-44 back in December, with Lou Williams scoring 12 of his game-high 25 points in the fourth quarter... Philly held Michael Redd, the Bucks leading scorer, to just 6 points on 2-of-13 shooting on 12/17.

Friday vs. Charlotte: Gospel Night will feature a Clash of the Choirs along with a post-game concert… former Sixers coach Larry Brown makes his first trip back to Philadelphia as head coach of the Bobcats… Charlotte won the first meeting vs. Philadelphia on 11/24 despite committing 21 turnovers; the Bobcats backcourt of Raymond Felton and D.J. Augustin combined for 48 points.

Sunday at Atlanta: The Sixers and Hawks meet for the second time this season… Atlanta won the first game on 11/1 despite trailing by as many as 23 points… all five starters scored in double-figures for the Sixers, led by Thaddeus Young’s 22 points… he hit 4-of-6 from 3-point range in that game.

TEAM NOTES: Here are some statistical observations from recent Sixers games:

  • The Sixers are 13-20 this season… Philly lost the first seven games of 2008 and was 18-30 at one point but went 22-12 the rest of the way… in 2006-07, the Sixers were 17-36 heading into All-Star break but went 18-11 over the final 29 games.
  • Philly has won two of its past three home games after losing five straight at Wachovia Center from 11/26-12/10… beginning tonight, the Sixers play six of their next nine games at home.
